MINELAB® GOLDFIELDS OF FORTUNE SWEEPSTAKES (THE “SWEEPSTAKES”)
COMPLETE OFFICIAL RULES

 

 

  1. 1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO ENTER.
  2. 2. SWEEPSTAKES DATE: Sweepstakes starts at 12:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on February 4, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on March 27, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Online registration entries must be completed no later than March 24, 2026. Mail-in entries submitted via the Alternative Method of Entry (“AMOE”) must be received by Sponsor no later than March 13, 2026 to allow sufficient time for processing and event logistics. Sponsor’s computer will be the official computer of the Sweepstakes.

 

  1. 3. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to: i) legal permanent residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, (excluding residents of New York and Florida), who are eighteen (18) years of age or older or the age of majority in their state of residence, or ii) a legal resident of Canada (excluding residents of the province of Quebec) and at least the age of majority in his/her province or territory of residence at the time of entry (the “entrant”). Persons in any of the following categories are not eligible to participate or win a prize: (a) persons who, since January 1, 2026 were or are employees, officers, directors or agents of Minelab Americas, Inc. (the “Sponsor”); their parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, or retailers; or the service agencies of any of the above organizations; (b) individuals engaged in the development of, the production or distribution of materials for, or the implementation of this Sweepstakes; or (c) employees of, persons in the immediate family of, or persons living in the same household as any person in any of the preceding categories. For the purpose of this Sweepstakes, “immediate family members” are defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children, and grandchildren. Void in Quebec, Florida and New York, and outside the United States, Canada and where prohibited or restricted by law. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. Any Sweepstakes entries received from an ineligible participant will be disqualified. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final on all matters. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the Official Rules of the Sweepstakes in any way at any time, subject to state or federal law.
  2. 4. HOW TO ENTER. Entrant must be physically present at the Goldfields of Fortune Event on March 27, 2026 (the “Event”) and utilize a metal detector to attempt to locate and recover certain objects as part of the treasure hunting activity. The Event will take place in the Las Vegas, Nevada area; the specific location will be disclosed to registered participants on the morning of the Event for safety and operational purposes. To participate, individuals must register in advance through the official Event registration website, or enter via AMOE, as described below. Registration is required for all participants in order to confirm eligibility, manage event capacity, and receive Event logistics. Only Minelab Gold Monster 2000 metal detectors may be used to participate in the treasure hunt. Entrants who do not bring their own Minelab Gold Monster 2000 will be provided with sponsor-supplied equipment that is functionally identical to standard retail models. Limited quantities available; eligible participants will have equivalent access regardless of method of entry. Each eligible individual who completes registration or enters via AMOE will receive one (1) opportunity to participate in the treasure hunt. Limit one (1) entry per person. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different identities, and/or any other methods will void that entrant’s entry and that entrant may be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. Multiple entries per person are prohibited. Only one entry will be considered a valid entry from any entrant. All entries must be completed by the individual entrant and not by any other party.

  3. 5. ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. To receive a free Event entry without making a purchase, hand-print your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address on a plain 3"x5" card, include a pre-paid return envelope, and mail it in a stamped envelope to: “Minelab Goldfields of Fortune Sweepstakes” Entry, 4828 W 35th Street, Saint Louis Park, MN 55416. Each mail-in entry must be mailed separately and received by 11:59 p.m. CT on March 13, 2026. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or damaged mail. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Limit of one (1) entry per person for the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be (a) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes, (b) acting in violation of these rules, or (c) acting with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. All entries must be completed by the individual entrant and not by any other party.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: Entry must be in English. Entries not meeting the requirements set forth in these Official Rules or that contain prohibited, inappropriate, or irrelevant content, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will not be eligible and will be disqualified. Any entry suspected by Sponsor of violating the proprietary rights of any third party (including but not limited to intellectual property rights and rights of privacy/publicity), or any local, state or federal law(s) will be disqualified, at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

By submitting an entry, entrant grants Sponsor and its affiliated companies worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, unconditional, and fully paid-up rights to publicly perform, display, broadcast, or transmit the entry, in whole or in part, for promotion and marketing purposes worldwide in any and all forms of media, whether now known or hereafter devised, and to distribute (directly or indirectly through multiple tiers) the entry to Sponsor’s affiliates, its marketing agencies, and to third parties for these purposes. Without limiting the foregoing, each entrant consents to have the entrant’s entry made available for public viewing and/or comment on the Internet.

 

Entry must be truthful in all respects. Each entrant further agrees and warrants that they shall not submit any entry or engage in any behavior during the Event that is known by the entrant to (a) be false, inaccurate, or misleading; (b) that infringes on any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy; (c) that violates any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination, or false advertising); and (d) that is or may reasonably be considered defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual, partnership, or corporation.

 

  1. 6. ODDS: On or about March 27, 2026, during the Event in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, one (1) grand prize winner (the “Grand Prize Winner”) will be determined based on the first eligible participant to locate and recover the designated Grand Prize item in accordance with these Official Rules and under the supervision of Sponsor. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants and the outcome of the treasure hunt. Sponsor’s determinations regarding the conduct of the Event and identification of the Grand Prize Winner are final and binding in all respects.

 

  1. 7. GRAND PRIZE NOTIFICATION/CLAIM: Except where prohibited, the potential Grand Prize Winner must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability/publicity release (the “Release”) and IRS form W-9 (US Residents) or IRS form W-8BEN (Canadian Residents) in order to claim the Grand Prize (collectively, the “Required Documents”) within the time frame indicated in the notification. If the Grand Prize Winner is a Canadian Resident, they must correctly complete a mathematical skill testing question. If the potential Grand Prize Winner fails to sign and return the Required Documents within the required time period, or incorrectly answers the mathematical skill testing question, the potential Grand Prize Winner forfeits their right to the Grand Prize and an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected at random from among all remaining non-winning eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The Grand Prize is taxable as income and the Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the Grand Prize, including, but not limited to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes. The Sponsor or a third party acting on behalf of the Sponsor must report the value of the Grand Prize to the IRS in the year the Grand Prize is received by the Grand Prize Winner and will be reported to the Grand Prize Winner and the IRS in the form of a Form 1099 for Form 1042-S. In the event it is deemed during the verification process that the potential Grand Prize Winner is not able to report the tax liability associated with acceptance of the Grand Prize, the potential Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and another potential Grand Prize Winner will be selected from among the remaining non-winning eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes

 

  1. 8. GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) gold bar with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $25,000 USD (the “Grand Prize”). Limit one (1) prize per person or per household. Grand Prize cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute Grand Prize with a prize of comparable or greater value if advertised Grand Prize should become unavailable. Grand Prize Winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules and regulations. The Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the Grand Prize he/she has received, including but not limited to any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes. No more than the one (1) Grand Prize as set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded.
  2. 9. PUBLICITY. By accepting the Grand Prize, where permitted by law, Grand Prize Winner grants to Sponsor, and those acting pursuant to the authority of Sponsor, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including, but not limited to, the World Wide Web at any time(s), that Grand Prize Winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness (as is or as may be edited, altered, or cropped), information, and biographical information as news or information and for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes without additional compensation or review.
  3. 10. RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AGREEMENT TO HOLD HARMLESS. All entrants, and the Grand Prize Winner agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor; their parent and subsidiary companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, and employees; and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes and Event (and agree to confirm this release and agreement to hold harmless in writing(s)) from any and all alleged and/or actual actions, demands, losses, settlements (whether or not litigation is commenced), claims, damages, liability, and costs whatsoever (including attorney fees), existing now or in the future, with respect to or in any way arising from this Sweepstakes or Event or participation in any Event or Sweepstakes-related activity, redeeming Sweepstakes prizes, and/or delivery/mis-delivery, acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize including, but not limited to, liability for personal injury, bodily injury (including wrongful death or disability), damage to property, and damage or loss of any other kind.

 

Without limitation, the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Sweepstakes; for any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the metal detectors, equipment, telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; for the failure of any entry to be received by the Sponsor, its advertising and promotion agencies, for any reason including, but not limited to, inability to arrive or attend the Event, technical problems on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination of the above. Further, the Sponsor, its advertising or promotion agencies, will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Sweepstakes.

 

If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to, but without limitation, weather, force majeure, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, human or other error, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES SHALL NOT CONSISTIUTE A WAIVER OF THESE PROVISIONS.

 

  1. 11. DISPUTES. THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEVADA WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Nevada, having jurisdiction over the parties and the subject matter. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
  1. 12. PERSONAL INFORMATION. By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant expressly consents to the storing, sharing, and use of the personal information submitted with his/her entry by Sponsor and its agents and/or representatives, in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. All entry and other information submitted may be used for advertising, trade, and marketing purposes both by Sponsor and authorized third parties in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at https://usa.minelab.com/privacy.

 

  1. 13. WINNERS LIST AND OFFICIAL RULES. For the name of the Grand Prize Winner, send a self-addressed, sufficiently stamped envelope to Attn: “Minelab Goldfields of Fortune Sweepstakes” Winners List, 4828 W 35th Street, Saint Louis Park, MN 55416. Requests must be received by April 30, 2026. Limit one request per person or per household.
